Does anyone use this and would you recommend it?

we borrow a local ladies dog from borrowmydoggy and he is lovely. we already have a dog who loves everyone so she now has company.
are you wanting to put your dog on there or just borrow?
I found the fee for dog owner was rather high so ended up not doing that, I was also worried about my dog running off from stranger or then taking her but all borrowers are checked and have to provide details inc address check and photo.
you can set up free account to see if anyone near you then have to pay to be able to message.

I am a borrower. There are a lot of owners on the site who don't respond to messages or expect too much of you but we have met 2 lovely dogs and owners. We have 1 dog from around 2-8 twice a month and another one for occasional weekends. It works really well for us- we took it slowly and they owners got to know us before trusting us with their dogs and we had to make sure we were comfortable with it too. We take very good care of the dogs and we love having them.
You get insurance through the site too, you need to make sure you are a good match and some people did try to take this piss and just want lots of free doggy day care but it can work well.

I'm thinking from both aspects, same as you Fletcher. Ddog loves others but I can't afford a second. It would also be nice when we want a night away at the weekend. I do worry about him with a stranger though. He wouldn't care, he loves people but it's tough to not worry he'd run off or something

I don't let them off the lead, even though one has brilliant recall. We have a secure garden for them to run around in but if we are out they are on the lead at all times.

Ddog is weird and has better recall with other people than me but is happy on a lead anyway.

Might set up as a borrower and see how that goes then go from there
