Dog been naughty again...

Poss tmi, but just found my daft dog licking a used sanitary towel he's stolen from a lidded bin! Towel is in one piece, thank god, he's come downstairs and had a bowl of water, then gone out for a normal wee and poo. The towel is still in one piece. Do I need to do a dash to an emergency vet?

Why would he need to go to a vet?

Honestly I don't know! I'm quite an anxious person, he does stuff like this and I start to worry he'll die. Excess iron, chemicals in st. I'm being silly aren't I?

If I went to the vet every time my dog licked something odd or disgusting I would never leave. If it is in one piece I am sure it will be fine!

Well, if one of my dogs did that, I wouldnt give it a second thought. They eat far worse when we are out on walks.

I think you need to be more vigilant about keeping him away from your used sanitary stuff though.

Ok calmed down thanks. Your right he seems have an iron stomach most of the time. I just need someone to tell me when I'm over reacting. Normally I have a better disposal system and normally he wouldn't go upstairs anyway, I've just had friends round tonight and I think he wanted some peace so snuck off. Thanks again
