Muddy paws!

This is a ridiculous question I know. But when my dog has been outside he always comes back in with mucky paws from the garden and leaves paw prints all over the floor. Is there any way I can prevent this!? Teach him to wipe his feet? Or will I have to get an area of garden paved. thanks

wipe them as he comes in? Thats what I do... pain but reduces the mud.

Yep we have a basket of old towels by the back door.

Ddog comes in and sits on the mat and lifts her front paws to get them wiped. Then we lift her back ones. She's great!

Some door mats claim to catch the wet/mud as they come in but in reality they don't really work if your dog just walks normally over it. Teaching your dog to wipe their paws would be fun and useful Smile

Get your dog to turn a few circles on the mat as soon as he comes in. Our greedy hound will only do this if there is a treat involved but it does help a bit. Our mat is a cheap version of a Turtle Mat.

We've trained ddog to circle three times one way and then three times the other way on a turtle mat - it works brilliantly to cut down on the mud

This is amazing advice thank you all
