Back leg injury

SAdog has hurt his leg. Daft mutt jumped to see what I had in my hand and landed awkwardly on Sat morning, he yelped as he landed and limped for a couple of minutes.
By yesterday, it had obviously stiffened up, and he's been resisting any movement - staying in bed even when tempted with biscuit!
We've been cajoling and encouraging him to potter round the garden for a few minutes every few hours and once he's up and about it seems to ease - he's weight bearing and not really limping.

Is it just a case of time? He's a 12 yr old spangle with no major health problems.

I think I'd see a vet TBH. We had similar with our DDog and it turned out it was the start of arthiritus for her (she's only 6 but from a very dodgy background). Vet was able to recomend a food supplement to help with her joints.

Vet - it's where the painkillers live...and that's assuming there's nothing much wrong, I'd still get painkillers as it's been a few days.
