Holidays with dog

Does anyone have any recommendations on good places to go to in sept/oct? Just me and the dog usually based in Oxfordshire. Somewhere nice and relaxed with decent walks.

I was thinking maybe South Wales but not set on that... have car, will travel (although mindful of the Alabama rot hotspots).

Am going to a cottage in Yorkshire dales in September - many take dogs. Some hotels/b&bs do too. Obviously walking will be great there.

Carmarthen has some nice dog friendly places to stay I like a nice little place called saundersfoot near Tenby nice walks and a part of the beach is dog friendly.

Brechfa forest barns in Carmarthenshire! We went early July, I cannot put into words how amazing and doggy welcoming it is there.
