A week till we get our new pup :D

The house is full of puppy things, the garden is puppy proofed so the gates and grate by the water tank are blocked off, the vet check and puppy classes have been booked and a baby sling has been bought - all we need now is the puppy!!

Only a week to go but it's going to be the longest week ever. Our poor papillon isn't going to know what's hit him when we bring another one home :D

How exciting! But dare I ask..... the baby sling?!

It's a ring sling for carrying him around while we're socialising him and he's too young to go down on the ground.

It'll also be used for when we take our other dog out for walks. That way Frank can come too.

We're getting a cockapoo (I know not popular on here) first dog for us although I grew up with lots of dogs so know what we are letting ourselves in for.
Ring sling is not a bad idea, I had a beautiful one when my dd was little, wish I still had it. Dh would not approve tho! :-)

We are getting our second chihuahua puppy on the 15th and I cannot wait! We already have her big sister, who was one in February. The breeder has had another and final litter from the mum and dad before they all retire to Spain. My dp already owned a rescue staffie when we met, who's approaching thirteen, and he's extremely gentle with the current chihuahua, so we have no concerns there.

I am dog sitting over the summer however, so the new pup will come home to our two dogs, plus a GSD and another 17 week old chihuahua. It's going to be nuts at my house!

We're hoping for a puppy in the autumn, should we be lucky. I still have my ring sling and thought about doing this, but how would you position the dog without hurting it? Would it only work for small breeds? And would I, as DH said, become known locally as the 'mad crazy puppy lady'?!
