Any advice for a pug that gets travel sick? Is medication the way to go for a long journey?
Thanks

Anyone got experience of this?

One of my dogs had terrible travel sickness, but we don't live in the UK and where we live we don't have anything to help. The only think that I found worked was putting him in a harness and strapping him into the seat belt connector using a special dog safety car kit. It seemed to help keep him stiller and after a couple of journeys he wasn't sick anymore. The only downside is that now I have a giant dog taking up my backseats Hmm. Oh, and windows down as much as possible so plenty of through draft.

Windows down, lots of stops.
We did lots and lots of very short journeys and gradually her tolerance seemed to build up.

We were told to give the dog ginger capsules - we just ended up with ginger scented vomit.
