Can anyone recommend a good mixer?

Mum's dog (Westie) will not eat ANY dry and will only eat Wainwright's wet food/loaf tray food. Mum would like to add a small amount of mixer to the food but the guy in Pets at Home basically said all the ones they sell they wouldn't recommend!

Can anyone recommend a good one, preferably grain free?

Why do you need a mixer? Feed wainwright complete wet food and you will not need to add a mixer

Because my mother is on a pension and she'd like to use a mixer to extend the wet food a little, as it's expensive (for her). Plus it's good for the dog's teeth to have a bit of crunch.

I don't think such a thing as a grain free mixer exists as that's all mixer is, just grains and cereals without much nutritional value.

Nature's Menu do one with a whole 10% beef liver in it but it's still mostly just oats and it's more expensive per kg than the grain free, high meat content dry food I feed.

Will the dog eat any other wet foods? You can get some really good quality grain free brands from Zooplus which work out cheaper than Wainwrights. Rocco is good stuff and it's less than £1 a tin.

James Wellbeloved do potato or rice based dry food. It's a complete food though, but I used to mix it with some raw mince or tripe and it went down well.

I feed wet and dry mix but use grain free complete kibble , if the dog won't eat any dry food I doubt he would eat plain mixer - try and get some sample packs of various foods to try that way she won't be wasting loads of money .

If your Mum is on a budget she will be wasting her money buying mixer. It has no nutritional value to the dog and so she is just throwing money away.

Cheap cleaner for teeth would be free bones from the butcher once in a while.
