Cut pad.....

Some time last night my dog cut her pad. She's holding it off the ground and limping badly but the cut seems to be fine. It hasn't gone right through and there is a little piece of loose skin hanging off. There doesn't seem to be anything in the cut (glass or splinter etc). None of us can find any blood - and I know that a cut pad can really bleed. I think it's more of a scrape where the top layers of skin have come off iyswim. Apart from a quiet day or two with treats (she's feeling sorry for herself), is there anything I can do?

Please take her to the vet. Cut paws need treatment especially if she's limping and not weight bearing on it. Also the vet may need to stitch or glue the cut/ bandage the paw and this is more difficult to do, the longer you leave it.
There may be something still stuck in there that you can't see? She may well need painkillers and antibiotics.
