Steroids and lethargy in dog

My lab developed a king condition about 4 weeks ago. The vet prescribed steroids to curb the itch as well as a shampoo. She is currently getting 1/2 a table every second day but she seems so subdued and lethargic. She hardly gets out of bed. She is still eating fine but she is not really herself.

I was planning to stop the tablets as she hasn't got many left. Can anyone advise if these tablets may be the cause of her lethargy and if it is okay to stop them? There was no plan to keep her on them long term and the itchiness has now subsided.

Thanks

A skin condition not a king condition.
