Looking for a coat for the hound that says "rescued" and not retired. Any ideas?

Do you want a walking out coat with it embroidered on, or a racing jacket type thing?

Milgi will embroider coats to say whatever you want

Do you want a proper coat or just something to highlight the fact you're with a rescued grey?

If it's the latter, what about one of these high-viz vests? You can have them printed with any wording you like. There are also these that can be worn over their normal coat.

Quite a few places sell them now:

I occasionally see the reverse (Retired not rescued) on memes, and I've seen it on Tshirts too. I think it's often used by people who are particularly pro-racing, and I see it as unhelpful and unnecessarily provocative.

It's rescue organisations that provide the rehoming process and ensure it goes smoothly, and has good lifelong backup. And sadly, for every hound that goes smoothly from owner via rescue to forever home, there are many, many more that have much more bumpy transitions.

I love the ones that say "Retired and Loving It" - that seems to me to be a very positive message, and of course you often see waistcoats that promote the work of particular rescue organisations. Smile

Thank you all so much - I knew that Mumsnetters would know!
