I'm a bit fed up up of people having a go at my dog

On lead too
Two occasions today people with little snarling spaniel (different people) who have expressed disgust at my high pitched female collie giving a high pitched eeeeeeeeee response, non aggressive - just confused!. On lead. Expressing herself in a high pitched...chat?
Urgh!

Does this happen to everyone? The other dogs snarled snapped at her. She bobbed her tongue out got down and then high pitched squeal noise. Leave me alone

Poor dog

And I get told off. Should I tell them to fuck off and put their dog on a lead of walk on, roll my eyes and just get on with it?

ignore the ignorant idiots. Most days I 'meet' a woman with 2 yorkies who are always off lead my dog hates smaller dogs so I put him on his lead her dogs run over and 'sniff' him and he growls a warning at them SHE looks at me as if its my fault. NO KEEP YOUR BLOODY DOGS ON THE LEAD

Ignore them in till they say something to you.
You will always get feckless idiot owners who will let their off lead dogs bother and growl at other dogs and they normally say he/she is friendly as their dog is snapping at yours.
