Mine is a poo eater. Shock I've never had a poo eater before. Dog poo, cat poo, fox poo, horse poo, rabbit poo, you name it, he eats it. You'd think we starve him. Disgusting creature!

He's also dog obsessed. He's worked out that if he lies flat down and smushes himself from chin to tail onto the path, there's nothing I can do to make him budge until the approaching dog gets close enough for him to say HI. He radiates disappointment should that dog have absolutely no interest in him. Grin

Being a labrador,
Seriously, they should come with government health warning. He loves water of any description. He's only 5 months old and I have smelt wafts coming from his fur that turn my stomach. He has so many baths in the outside tap and is frequently banned from entering the house! Discusting creature.

SomewhereIBelong · 22/03/2015 20:22

he likes poo.. doesn't eat it, but rubs his face in fox poo and wears apache stripes with pride...

has also STOLEN MY - MY - blanket - the nice soft one that hasn't been washed yet so it is soft and fluffy and the bestest blanket in the whole wide world...

TheHoundsBitch · 22/03/2015 20:39

Mine has a few Hmm She does the 'flatten herself to the ground until the other dog arrives' thing, but she then usually jumps on top of them, Angry she generally thinks jumping on top of the other dog is the best way to get them to play with her Hmm
She also chucks herself at the back door when she's ready to come in, shaking the whole house. She doesn't come back when called, has farts like death and is the bolshiest, most strong willed animal I have ever met. It's a good job she's gorgeous and funny and gives good snuggles!

ElsieMc · 22/03/2015 20:46

Second being a labrador.

Sorry tomanddizzymum, but mine is nearly 11 and still behaves in an hysterical manner, mad, maniacal running, growling at large plants and people in berets, being terrified of my dd's miniature daschund. Even growling at herself when she sees her own reflection in the window.

Still steals food, stealing a bag of peppers and eating them at my dd's leading her to fear she was having a heart attack. Leapt into the passenger seat of the car at weekend and began to devour the picnic sausage rolls. Threw them up later at home.

Hatred of plants includes christmas trees that must be wee'd on. Digs holes in the garden so often my gc's thought we had a colony of moles.

Being an idle, snoring bastard to lazy to go out for wee in the mornings.

She also stinks like a skunk and jumps on the furniture at my home and other family members.

I receive angry phone calls from family members who are dogsitting.

Molotov · 22/03/2015 20:47

She tries to (and sometimes succeeds in) sneakily/quickly yet gently pinching food from children. Girl has it down to a fine art these days at almost 11yo.

The other day, she snaffled a whole Babybel cheese from 3yo dd's unsuspecting hand. Of course Dog was told off and sent out of the room, but I have to admit I kind of admire her skill Grin

Shock.....one of those 'dog an owner would love"

TooOldForGlitter · 22/03/2015 21:04

The 'wet dog' shaking....a million times a day. I try to tell myself it's just his thing but ohhhh god it grates on my nerves.

Sparklepup · 22/03/2015 21:18

Rolling in any sort of poo - bird / fox / horse anything !

Does the flatten to the ground thing at other dogs, children (and once someone's shopping bag!) and then runs at them as fast as she can (ignoring me calling her back)

Running up to me after her breakfast (when I'm usually eating mine) and burping dog food smells.

Disgusting, frustrating and completey lovable - wouldn't be without her Smile

Chillycamper · 22/03/2015 21:23

Boy Chillywhippet loves to roll in fox poo. He thinks it makes him look fierce and smell great!

He hardly spoke to DD for ages after she cleaned him up from this episode. A wet cloth in his ear? How very dare she.

DramaAlpaca · 22/03/2015 21:27

DramaDog1 - rolling in fox poo at every opportunity.

DramaDog2 - trying to empty her anal glands on the carpet by doing that butt rubbing thing they do with their back feet up in front of them. Gross.

Good job I love them Smile

Rozalia · 22/03/2015 21:28

Rolling in poo. Fox poo, deer poo, horse poo, badger poo and once he troweled pig poo all over himself. God, almighty, I had to put him back in the car to get home. The smell!!!

Kleptronic · 22/03/2015 21:29

Barking. All the. Fucking. Time.

Endler32 · 22/03/2015 21:30

I have a poo eating and barking at everything lab.

EveDallas · 22/03/2015 21:35

Footballs. Hundreds of them (well 7). We've just had our hedges trimmed
butchered and she found them all. Now she's bringing them into the house and guarding them. Twice I've tried to get into my bed and been confronted with footballs under the covers. Muddy footballs at that.

GoooRooo · 22/03/2015 21:37

Digging. No matter what we do we can't stop her. Vet says her breed are prone to it (also prone to pulling on the lead which she also does and that drives me mad too - no amount of dog training classes has cured her of it)

Digging = holes in the garden DH goes mad about, rolling around in holes she's dug on the beach and bringing six tonnes of sand in the house and muddy footprints when she's dug in the garden.

Apart from that she's a gorgeous, friendly, gentle hearted dog.

TheHappinessTrap · 22/03/2015 21:43

One of mine ate poo for a time, then stopped. Darnedest thing, I never understood why.

Queenofknickers · 22/03/2015 21:46

Another poo eater here Confused and she's teamed up with one of the cats to ensure her supply! Grim.....

Mylittlepotofjoy · 22/03/2015 22:45

One of mine likes to sleep on my range oven like a bloody cat!!!! She's 30kgs of unstoppable determination . Always been a jumper since she could first walk and regularly used to escape the whelping box !

hellhasnofurylikeahungrywoman · 22/03/2015 22:51

Sock thief, preferably DS's fetid, can stand up all by themselves, work socks.

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 22/03/2015 22:55

Gooo, what breed is she, just out of totally-unconcerned interest? Grin

TheHoundsBitch · 22/03/2015 23:11

Oh god, mine steals socks and digs up the garden too. She does have some good points, honest!

MelB2014 · 23/03/2015 17:15

One of my dogs loves to roll in poo and dead things, if he manages both on a walk he has a look on his face akin to a lotto winner. He once found human poo in the woods and my husband had to walk him home 3 miles on top of the walk as we didn't want to put him in the car!

He also loves food and will steal at any opportunity, he will bin raid. He can also open doors so trying to keep him out of things is fun!

My other dog is neurotic and she also loves to hump furniture...

KatieKaye · 23/03/2015 17:19

Paw sucking. Very loudly, with slurping noises. And only when he is lying next yo me on the sofa or in bed. The Downie gets soaked with slavering and there is the unmistakable aroma of damp dog.

Yuk.

Then again, he could be eating poo I suppose,

hellhasnofurylikeahungrywoman · 23/03/2015 17:37

Just been reminded of another foul trait, she's a rampant vole killer. She pounces on a patch of tufty grass like a cat and comes up bearing a dead vole.

insanityscratching · 23/03/2015 17:56

Eric is a thief, he steals anything that takes his fancy and hides his booty. His farts can clear a room. He snores like a pig and spends a great deal of his time awake noisily cleaning his nether regions.
God knows why I love him.
