My dog stinks :(

Definitely her anal glands but they've been emptied today and she still stinks.

Not sure what to do, she's not showing any other symptoms so I'm reluctant to take her to the vet but I can't handle the smell anymore...

They might well be infected if they smell that bad. Has she seen a vet at all?

Other, sometimes hidden, causes of a foul smell include skin fold infections, tooth and gum problems and dermatitis. If simply emptying the anal sacs hasn't fixed it then she needs to see a vet. If they are infected then they will need treatment to clear them up, which can take a long time. Without treatment they can abscess and burst, which is really painful.

Thanks dunelm, not seen a vet as thought it was just that they needed emptying. Will take her to the vet tomorrow.
