Pup chewing bed - HELP!

11 month old pup rips to shreds every single bed I give him and im losing the plot with him a bit! He's crated overnight and never makes a peep, yet last night has managed to shred a brand new piece of vet bedding into small confetti sized pieces. Everything I give him ends up the same way, plus he's trashed big dogs bed too. I've tried fleece blankets, old towels, carpets tiles, vet bedding - just trying to give him something to lay on as oppose to the floors of is metal crate, but he just eats it, and the mess is driving me potty, not to mention how much he actually swallows is at some point going to cause an expensive vets bill :(

Any suggestions? He was crated for a grand total of 6 hours last night while I was asleep and destroyed him new bedding. I've tried leaving him loose with my other dog and he wrecked my dining chairs and ate the rug in the kitchen. I've had his crate in my bedroom and he still trashes his bedding (he's a very quiet chewer!) He's well exercised, has plenty of toys/chews etc so not bored or under stimulated.

Excuse all the typos please; my iPad is painfully slow on MN at the minute for some reason!

I'd leave him without a bed at all but with loads of appropriate things to chew.

Had the same with our lab, it stopped then he was around 18 months.

There is a bitter apple spray you can try on bedding which we had some success with, but remember to leave other chew toys for him.

Chew toys and no bedding. I know it seems cruel to us but dogs will happily sleep on bare floors.

Tbh, it's more the amount of noise he makes rattling around on the bare bottom of a crate than anything else! He's always left with a stuffed Kong and usually other chews/toys. He's got an old football at the minute which he loves and actually hasn't trashed yet!
