Dog off his food

Vet recommended chappie to get his weight down a bit but since he was sedated last week he's hardly ate!
I had a couple of small tins of butchers in the cupboard and when I put that down to him he scoffed the lot
I don't want to put him back on it as its very high in fat the vet says, so does anyone know an alternative to chappie?

Your vet recomended chappie? Hmm

TBH Chappie is really poor quality - it's made of cereals and meat derivatives. You'd be best to look for a food with proper ingredients (meat as opposed to derivatives, and no cereal, which dogs can't digest).

We feed burns. James Wellbeloved is also supposed to be good though I've not used it myself.

If your dog isn't keep on biscuit try soaking in warm water for a bit to entive him, but I really wouldn't be feeding chappie!

Yip they recommended it to get his weight down, I'm going to go down to pets at home today as he's only eating those little tins of butchers! But I need him to eat something as he needs to get his anti b!
