Well that's it really. I am a new dog owner and want to know if what I am feeding him is ok.
I have googled but have got mixed information. He is currently on the same food brand he came with - Beta Puppy (which he likes). I prefer dry food, so please can someone educate me!
Thanks

Dry food isn't really ideal in my opinion but if I had to pick one I would go with natures menu country hunter dry.

Possibly Lilys kitchen dry also.

Millies Wolfheart. Grain and gluten free and all UK ingredients, meat proteins, no lifestage differences so he could be on it for life. Probably as close to feeding raw without feeding raw.

Excellent customer service as well. To start you off you can call and speak to one of the owners/founders who will guide you as to the best choice for your dog. Highly recommended!

agree best not to do kibble but if you have to look at this site here Beta rated very low

Millies is not as good as it is being advertised - correct no grain but packed full of potato fillers Sad

Our cocker cross is on Acana - Prairie I think. She loves it. And since switching from Purina Pro Plan Salmon, has hardly any "gas issues". Her poops are much firmer too (sorry for TMI!).

Our working cocker is 7 months old and he has Skinners Field and Trial Puppy food. Our vet was very anti raw feeding for him as a puppy and since we have youngish children, I decided not to go down that route but may consider it again when he's older. There's a huge choice of food around, but our vet approved of Skinners and quite a few people on the cocker spaniel forum I use seem to use it.

Our Springer Cocker cross puppy loves Lily's Kitchen. She has a mixture of the dry and the wet food and is doing really on it. They also do dried fish skin chews which she goes crazy for!
