DS took our 11yr old Lab for his walk this morning. DS is 17 and a fast walker though walks the dog often.
When they got back to the house the dog was out of breath and unable to get in the house. He was breathing very fast and I could hear a definite wheeze. He wouldn't take a drink and looked distressed. If I had a car I would have picked him up and taken him to the vets.
After a good rest he was able to come in and manage a drink and looks OK now.
Do dogs get asthma and can it be treated?
