Emailed a breeder, heard nothing back

Feeling a little sad.

Been thinking about getting a sheltie puppy next March, I know a lot of breeders operate waiting lists of over a year so thought I'd get in early.

I found a breeder in Northamptonshire, so not too far from where I live.
They wean the puppies onto raw which I like, they breed the colour I am after, I sent them an email thinking me and my DH would be able to offer a great home, we have a dog already for company, a garden, lots of woods nearby and fields for off leash running, we have kids who will no doubt spoil it with cuddles and play with it a lot, but heard nothing back.

Logical me says it's only been just over 24 hours, they are probably busy.

Sceptical me says they mustn't like us, hope I hear back soon .....

Try calling as your email could have gone in their junk folder.

That's true, I emailed another breeder, also in Northamptonshire tonight and just heard back from them.
They are expecting puppies end of this year / early next year!

Calling them tomorrow to discuss
Will contact the other breeders aswell.

Oh I had a sheltie when I was a child. Beautiful dog, lovely temperament. I'm jealous!

It's sooooo exciting!
I hope my resident doggy doesn't mind, she is a very tolerant, playful little soul though so fingers crossed.

Aww, good luck with your search. We're in the same boat but we're now first on a waiting list for a lab so very excited!
