Dog loosing weight

I'm having a little bit of a panic over MTBDog

He's recently lost a lot of weight, he's always been a slim athletic dog, but suddenly you can see his ribs, and I'm worried there may be a medical condition that I'm not considering.

He's on a raw food(ish) diet and we've up'ed what we're feeding him in the hope that will help. He currently gets 10% of his body weight in raw mince (70%) whole grain rice (20%) and green veg (10%) and a raw egg with each meal

He's still really active on walks, happily charges around like a loon for an hour, twice a day. I typically cover 2km, and he'll spend most of that time chasing and returning with his tennis ball so covers a lot more) He does then tend to sleep the rest of the day.

He's happy and not showing any signs that he's in pain. he's not quite due his next worming, so maybe it's worms?

He's not quite 2, so still a pup, could this be a growth spurt?

How soon would you take him to the vet?

10%? That's a lot, I mean an awful lot, what size dog is he?

Not that it matters so much more that I'm hoping your maths is wrong...because if he really is getting that much and losing weight, yep I'd have him at the vet.

Sorry you're right my maths is wrong, we had him on 10% when he was under 1, but he's normally on 2% and we've up'd him to 4% now.

He's a rescue, but we believe he's a collie/pointer/greyhound cross so a naturally sleek dog.

Check with the vet. It's really hard finding a good food to keep weight on these skinny beans. I hope he is ok.
