Swollen joint

I've noticed that my dog has a swollen joint - the one above her front right paw (her wrist?!). It looks like it's got a lump on it. The lump feels like bone - very hard, doesn't move at all. It doesn't seem to bother her and she lets me prod it without a murmur. I think she may be putting slightly more weight on her other paw but not by much. She has arthritis in her hips so I wondered if it could be that... Any ideas?

Typically I noticed this the week after we cancelled our insurance as it had doubled to £61 per month!!

My dog has this too. He injured his wrist as a young puppy and the hard bone bit is just where it has healed. He also limps on it occasionally and recently it was swollen and very warm. I took him to vet but she wasn't concerned at all and said if it was anything serious then he wouldn't weight bear on it or let it be prodded about it with. She said if it's a recurring problem then an x-Ray is the only way to really know what's going on inside the joint. She prescribed anti-inflammatory tabs and said he had to rest it and after a day or two he was back to normal and it hasn't returned since. I also bought some glucosamine supplement for dogs on Amazon so he has that every day now too.
