We noticed spots of blood all over the kitchen floor when dog came back from his morning walk - checked his pads and he's split the big pad on one of his front paws. I've washed it and it's stopped bleeding. He's not limping and it doesn't appear to be bothering him but I'm worried about it getting infected. I'm keeping him at home for the rest of the day but he will go bananas without exercise tomorrow. What's the best way of treating this quickly?
