Dog started chewing again at 18 months

Hello
We have a rescue dog who we've had since she was about 4 months and is now about 18 months. When we first got her she unsurprisingly chewed quite a few things and loved chew toys. This faded, but within the last month she has again become obsessed with bones, chews etc. and I even caught her having a little nibble on a table leg. Do dogs have any teeth that come through late, or is this some sort of developmental issue? She's quite an anxious dog, but in every other way calming down and coming out of the "teenage" period.

It could be that she's experiencing stress. Had anything changed recently which could explain it?

No - no changes. She's a stressy dog generally but more chilled now than she's been since we got her.

Mines about a year and a half old and has just started desperately chewing old bones that she'd had no interest in.
I read one time that dogs go through a secondary chewy stage at this age because their teeth and settling into their jaws, after all the growing.

We had this too. I think it is when the adult teeth are bedding down. I don't remember it lasting long... Just when you thought it was safe..... I think, as Competetive Crisp said, it is part of normal development.

Thanks - that's interesting. Think we might put off buying a new table for a few months though just in case!
