My dog who is 11 so getting an old lady. She has started having accidents again in the house. The thing is I am not sure she realises that she is doing it. For example: She will be layed next to me, then when she gets up, I notice a wet patch where her bum was, which on inspection I realise is urine. This has happened on a few occasions, but it is not a regular occurrence.

What did the vet say?

My spaniel got like this and the vet gave us some medicine for her which helped, it was age related bladder weakness. Can't remember the name of the medicine but I'm sure someone will be along soon who will.

Having taken her yet she is booked in at the vets for Thursday, first appointment I could get working around kids and work.

Sounds like incontinence, medicine should help her.
