Today my puppy smashed the glass on my cooker! Grin I was at work and my partner left the house for 20 minutes to do the school run. In that time the puppy decided to have a fight with the ironing board (has ripped it and looked like it was thrown around the kitchen!) and somehow managed to smash the glass on the cooker door. My partner sent a me a picture message when i was at work, we all had a laugh over the carnage. Luckily the puppy is ok! Grin I came home and pointed at the cooker and asked her who did it, she bowed her head in shame. Lol so whats the most expensive thing your dog has destroyed?

Mine, just dh's wallet and there was no cash in it.

Mums dog (18 month shih tzu), well.....
All the door frames
Kitchen dresser
Kitchen chair legs
Her reading glasses
One full pack of water tablets (resulting in a charcoal flush at the vets and £150)
Some kind of lighter he picked up on a walk (3 day vet stay, just over £300)

Wouldn't be so bad but mum is 78 and with him constantly. She walks him miles daily. It's as if she leaves the room to go to the toilet and he thinks "ON IT!!!!!!!!"
fortunately he does seem to finally be growing out of it.

My Ddog destroyed my brand new mobile phone only had it 4 weeks cost £180 to repair the screen.
My sisters dog :-
countless pairs of shoes
A vax carpet cleaner
2 pairs of glasses
Dozens of kids plastic toys, basically any thing he can get his paws that looks like fun to chew on when he thinks your not looking

NCIS · 09/01/2015 05:15

The bottom edge of the bottom of the stair carpet but it was about 50 years old so we didn't really care, it was just unravelled a bit, other than that he hasn't chewed anything unless we've given him it.

cherrytree63 · 09/01/2015 05:21

Her own leg... cue a £600 leg and shoulder amputation!

isitsnowingyet · 09/01/2015 05:42

Our dog chewed through not one, but two car steering wheels. Also - a stair bannister.

TheCunnyFunt · 09/01/2015 10:35

Her own leg?? Wha...? How...?

Chattymummyhere · 09/01/2015 12:59

Bubble2bubble · 09/01/2015 13:08

This week, really expensive gortex coat I used for dog walking. I am furious. And wet.

Fudgeface123 · 09/01/2015 14:14

Nowhere near as expensive as some of the stuff on here but mutt chewed my brand new D&G prescription glasses (almost £400, I'll never get how she managed to reach them). Mine at DP's Fit Flops at £80 a pop.

I was not amused

Adarajames · 09/01/2015 14:35

I had a foster puppy that chewed bits out of the plaster on the corner of the wall, and a cheap pair of clogs, but nothing too bad and just confirms my thought that to crate train all dogs comin into mine before anything else is the right idea! Smile I know it's bad of me but some of these did rather make me lol! GrinBlush

She got in to one of my fields and thought playing with the horses was a good idea... until she git kicked!

hippoinamudhole · 10/01/2015 23:57

Had a springer eat a sock. Not expensive in itself but cost £1000 for the dock to be removed then another £1000 a week later to sort out the intersuseption.

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 11/01/2015 12:52

Why did she eat her own leg?

TheCunnyFunt · 11/01/2015 17:32

Oh so she didn't chew/eat her leg then!? That's what I was imagining :o

VivaLeBeaver · 11/01/2015 17:37

As of today I can add some new Ugg boots to the list.

RVPisnomore · 11/01/2015 17:39

nocarbsplease · 11/01/2015 17:40

Ouch.

Mominatrix · 11/01/2015 20:18

£700 gladiator style stilettos. She also loves to go through the laundry basket and rip up my underwear, and at £30ish a pop, it really adds up. I'm trying to train her to go for DSs instead (5 for a fiver) Grin.

bottleofbeer · 12/01/2015 18:07

An entire, almost new kitchen floor. I cried, I won't lie.

ThatBloodyWoman · 12/01/2015 18:14

A doormat.
Yep,that's all [lucky bugger]

SconeRhymesWithGone · 12/01/2015 18:20

Another sofa here. Rescue Lab tore it completely to pieces with stuffing and feathers all over the house the first time we left him alone (for all of 45 minutes). He had to be on meds for separation anxiety the rest of his long and happy life.

NoraRobertsismyguiltypleasure · 12/01/2015 18:25

The most expensive thing my dog breaks is herself! She is a greyhound and a bit single-minded when chasing bunnies - she ran under a fence with barbed wire and tore a large hole in the skin on her back. Very expensive to repair.
She has had various running injuries - luckily she seems to be slowing down a bit and we've gone 2 years without any.

lemisscared · 12/01/2015 18:28

designer glasses that were two weeks old

phone charger x 2
