I feed RAW, not sure if you've looked into it. There are many many benefits, not least firm poos, reduced doggy smell and shiny clean teeth! Bones are natures toothbrushes, commercial dog food companies try to replicate this with bone shaped dental sticks etc however I would rather give my pup some raw meaty bones and save a few quid in the process.

My dogs have a dentastik a day. Not sure if that's the reason but at aged 8 and 5 they have fairly perfect teeth.

Good chance if you are raw feeding and therefore not giving them sugars in the form of carbohydrates like rice, potatoes, veg & fruit, your dog's mouth is not going to be a plaque paradise, so dental problems should be minimal.
