Funny dog names

Today I met a dog called 'Batman'!
Apparently the kids named him
What's the funniest dog name you have come across?!

Deefor. As in D for dog.

Simon. It was/is a Labrador.

I have a cat called Ray

Steve and Bob.

I like people names for dogs. Not dog names for people though.

I was seriously considering 'Batfink' for our SBT. When she gives you her belly her ears flap back and all I have going through my head is 'My wings are like a shield of steel'. I need a life don't I?!

I am getting a bit bored of the human names. Batman is great.

Our cat ended up being called Ray because he's a stray and DH in all his creative wisdom thought Ray the Stray was magnificent.

I don't like it. I want to call him Sam. Or Barry.

My lab is called BatDog

I can't even blame it on kids cause I named him that

I know a standard poodle called Frank and a whippet called Tim

I like Dave for a dog. And Ralph.

DDog3 has a human name (not very common, a shortened version of a fairly well known name) but answers beautifully to "Pig"
It stemmed from the fact that she snores and snuffles like a small pig and just seems to have stuck. The sadness is that her name was actually the name I would have used for a DD if I had one. Once it became apparent we wouldn't have any more children I decided to use it anyway and now everybody ignores it- even people in the village call her Pig

Ah, I love the name Pig! I also met a dog called Reg this morning. We have just moved to the area so I wonder what others are going to pop up

MrsFox - My 13 week old is called Pigi :)
The rescue lady named her, we wanted to change it but she answered brilliantly to it when we got her - so Pigi stayed.
It suits her, greedy little gannet that she is :)

My friends got a dog called Helen, makes me laugh every time

Dad's boyfriends dog is called Nigel.he's only a puppy - a collie- so I'm hoping he will grow into it!

The dogs owned by friends, acquaintances and relations include -

Mouse the Greyhound. Monkey the crossbreed. Ralph the pug and another who was a Golden Retriever. Lady Antonia Fraser the Afghan Hound (known as Antonia to her friends!). Fish the German Shepherd. Spud the Labrador. Spanky the Jack Russell. A fluffy, shaggy mixed breed called Albert. Reg the Staffie cross. Lucinda the Corgi.

I have some very odd friends and relations.

My Labrador is often called by her full name - Lillian - when being particularly daft.

We've had a "Matthew" and a "Spider".

Dawn O' Porter has a dog called Potato. I knew a lab x called Ugly.

Our lurcher is called Stanley. He came from Rescue with it but it suits him so we kept it.

I have a dog called Penelope, the cat is called Amy but I wanted to call her Betty.

Mine is Axel - great name!

Our dog is called Raff which is a bit odd in itself but its actually meant to be Giraffe but DS2 couldn't pronounce it!

My dads lab is called Phil. Makes me laugh every time I take him out for a walk in the park and have to shout him back

My two cats are called Colin and Travis - I don't realise how odd it is until someone asks me what they're called

i had a rottweiler named Filthy. he was ace.
