I am a regular MNer but have name-changed for this, i'm asking for a friend. Would be very grateful if anyone has any advice or tips as my friend is pretty stressed and upset with the situation.
My friend has a Japanese chin, a male, I think he is around 2 years old, not exactly sure but around that age. He isn't neutered as he is very anxious and the vet has advised that neutering will exacerbate his anxiety problems.
When my friend goes to work the pooch goes to a dog-sitter, who has two chins of her own. The problem is that my friends dog has now started marking in the house. He will go outside to pee and then come back inside and cock his leg on the furniture/floors of the dog-sitters house. Obviously dog-sitter is very unhappy, to the point where she is saying she can't keep looking after him if he is going to keep doing this in her house.
Does anyone know what can be done to hopefully stop/train her dog out of doing this?
