puppy and kitten

Im picking up my new cocker spaniel puppy on Saturday and am planning to get a cat too in the near future. What timing would you recommend getting the kitten so that they have as peaceful a relationship as possible? I'm thinking fairly close together but the training etc. of both seems daunting, if not crazy. Any advice?

i really wouldn't tbh.personally i would leave a year as the puppy will need your care and attention.

You don't really train cats to be fair, they train you...

I wouldn't have them too close together though, I'd have about a year between them.

My sister had kittens shortly before the pup. They are best of friends and no problems at all.
