German Shepherd x Rhodesian Ridgeback mix - anyone have any experience of these

Going to visit a lovely sounding GSD/Ridgeback mix at the end of the week with a view to adopting her. I have experience of Shepherds but none of Rhodesian Ridgebacks or this particular mix, was wondering what experience others have had. She would be a family pet with a toddler.

Haven't had a ridgeback but a neighbour has had 3 over the years. They had four very boisterous children and all the dogs were fine with them. Very stong on a lead so need a little strength :)

Have only had experience of ridgebacks and they are great family dogs, they usually have a gentle nature.

However, they are large dogs and sometimes my four year old gets knocked over when out and about even I've been accidentally knocked over. They need a lot of exercise and need a long free run every day they live to run.

I would guess a GSD/RR cross will be a large powerful fig very protective of its family. You will have to watch out for hip dysphasia as well as both breeds are prone to it.
