Anyone working towards their KC Silver Award?

The DDogs have got their KC GCDS Silver Test on the 9th of November. I'm not holding out much hope TBH! They're capable of doing all of it but my girl is a bit of a joker and is highly likely to skip off and do something else, whilst my boy is fairly solid but will probably fall down at the food manners bit!

Anybody else?

Oh, I've done it with both my 2! The mad Weimaraner didn't manage to pass - can't walk nicely on a lead. But the cocker spaniel amazingly DID pass!

Remember that they will be very sensitive to your own emotions, so keep calm and positive

Hi Melanie! Sorry I've not replied sooner, had a mad week!

We had our practice run through on Sunday. DDog 1 well spontaneously forgot how to walk on lead which is frustrating as he's normally brilliant. I thought he was the most likely to pass but DDog 2 was much better!

Will you be having another go with your Weimaraner?

Well, we passed! Was a bit touch and go as DDog 2 got distracted by a feather in her stay. Fortunately the examiner let her have another go and she got through it fine in the end.

Better start looking at the Gold syllabus now!
