Dpup has just started digging

How do I get him to stop?
He gets 2 walks a day, plenty of attention, will even dig in the park!

So far I've been distracting him which works in the short term but it isn't solving the problem.

Give him a place where he is allowed to dig, such as a particular bed or a sandpit and train him to do it there so he can satisfy his urge appropriately. Bury favoured toys or treats in the area for them to find. Gently interrupt digging in the wrong area and encourage them over to the digging area. You will get much further with "don't do that, do this" than "don't do that" alone.

My pup likes to dig - so he's allowed to in the box border which is lovely loose compost and we rake it back every few days. He'll have a mad dig (while the other dog looks on, bemused) for 5 mins with lots of satisfaction, then not be worried about it
