Hi we have a 13yr old lab x german shepherd. In the past few months shes slowed up a lot but still been full of beans. Today dh text me and said she was really struggling to use her back legs and wasnt eating. Shes also been making the occasional cough/sneeze type noise for last two days -not all time just occasionally. This evening shes struggling to get up and down and wont eat :( is this the end? She really hates vets to the point where she loses bowel control and gets in a right state so want to avoid that at all costs. Any ideas on how to keep her comfortable? Any ideas whats wrong?

Honestly, she needs a vet. There may well be a fair bit they can do even for the slowing up nevermind the recent stuff, but, they can't prescribe anything without seeing her.

Find a vet that will come to you, home visits can usually be arranged.
