PUPPY NIGHTIME BARKING, HOW TO STOP IT?

My pup is now 12 weeks old, and in the last week has started attacking the bed/ jumping at it/ barking/ running around it and barking as soon as I get into it to go to sleep. Obviously it annoys the neighbours- I stay up with her every night till midnight, keeping busy, doing a short walk outside- can't go too far, DD is sleeping, making sure that there's been a wee/ poo before bed. Is there anything that I can do to stop this? She is fine during the day, and is always by my feet, but as soon as my feet get off the ground, all hell breaks loose. I really don't want to annoy my neighbours or wake dd up, which happens daily. I have made a sleeping area next to my bed but she ignores it still.

Well, it might as well be PuppysRoom, as my child only sleeps in it until midnight and takes over my bed until the morning after that. At least someone will be able to get some good out of it!

puppy room again?

dillite · 10/10/2014 15:25

No, Chipping! She actually went in her crate at 11 and stayed there the whole night! Downstairs! Only started barking at 7.

Oooh progress - long may it last Wine

Now you just need to train DD to stay in her bed and you might actually get some sleep!

dillite · 10/10/2014 22:11

DD? Sleep in own bed? Jesus is more likely to get a third rebirth than that happening!

Poor you! Sleep deprivation is the work of the devil!!

Did Pup sleep in her crate again last night?

dillite · 11/10/2014 22:09

Oh no, I'm not sleep deprived. I usually don't even know she's there usually, unless if I was awake when she got in.

Yes, 2 nights spent in her crate! Wonder if third one will be lucky?

Fingers crossed for Puppy.

Oh well, I guess if DD doesn't wake you getting in, it's not too bad, well not unless there was some non-child-friendly action planned Grin My friends DD still sleeps with her and she's 9 now, she starts off in there though.

dillite · 11/10/2014 23:34

The only child unfriendly action that goes on in my bed is that of me swearing at stuff. Otherwise her getting in is as eventful as it gets Grin
