Dodgy tummy

Eric's tummy has been off for the last couple of days. He has been sick once and he's a bit runny poo wise. Have fed him chicken with rice for the last couple of days which he has wolfed down and he's drinking normally and he's as active as ever so I'm not worried. What should I look out for and when should I be worried?

Not yet. Sounds as though he has eaten something grim.

Miss a meal completely to rest his gut and then start with a single scrambled egg with nothing added. Then back to normal food, but a three quarter sized portion. It would help to add some probiotic - eg profibre granules or live yogurt. Profibre granules are brilliant and worth having in stock - they can be ordered online.

If he remains loose after a week or so, then visit the vet - or if he starts frequent watery poo. Sounds like he is currently more cow pat like?

Yes cow pats just now. Will do the scrambled egg later as he's had nothing since yesterday. I'll look for profibre granules online. I'm sure he's eaten something whilst out and about because he doesn't seem ill and if it was a bug I'd expect him to be miserable and he's anything but miserable in fact he's been a bit of a pest today again.
