I clip my mini poodle myself using wahl human clippers at present
It takes ages so I am going to splash out on proper clippers
I have decided on andis but am confused about blades
I change how much hair is clipped by snapping on the black comb. When it gives different blade size is that the metal bit which would need to be screwed and unscrewed each time?
I would rather use a black comb bit because its quicker- can I do this or do I need to fork out on the metal blades?

I have a pair of Andis clippers and they're great. The metal blades just snap on and off really easily, they're not screwed.
When I bought mine it came with 2 blades included in the price.. a 7F and 10.
I bought them from Simpsons of Langley who are Extremely helpful on the phone.
I'd definitely recommend Andis.. I just bought the one speed ones as just do my own dog, but they're lovely and quiet and good quality.

No you can buy andis blade comb kits for andis clippers. They work best with a number 10 blade . Should cost about£12 .i think you can get them from Christies direct :-)
