Converted shed

My dogs currently stay in the kitchen which has a flap to the garden when I am out. The house we're moving to is open plan and I'm considering converting the large garden shed for them. It would have beds, heating and radio but just not attached to the main building. I would only use it for the few hours I am out. This is ok, right? They use the kitchen to sleep and play mostly in the garden.

I don't see why this would be a problem so long as they are comfortable and aren't left out there all of the time. x

My major concern would be theft rather than the shed aspect. How accessible and/or secure is the garden at the new place? It's one of the most likely places a dog will be taken from. It makes me cringe when I see dogs left outside obviously empty houses.
