So...the dog can open windows

I thought I was going a bit mad one day last week. I went out and when I got back, a window was open. Careless of me.

The next day, I made sure I shut the window before I went out. When I got back, the window was open. I realised that I must have left the top handle up and just shut the lower handle.

Another day, I found the window open, but curiously, both handles of the small horizontal window were up. I started to suspect foul play. DH said that Patch had greeted him outside at the gate, then greeted him inside at the door (he can climb into the house from a ground floor window )

Today, I went out and I made sure all 6 handles were down. I came home to find:

a) the dog outside
b) one window open
c) both handles of the horizontal window up
d) the lower handle of the other window up

Given that I now seem to have houdini dog, where do I sign him up for filmings?

Wow. That's the kind of applied intelligence I am very grateful my dogs don't have! Locks it is then...

Wow, I thought my dog was intelligent for figuring out how to open doors but that's another level!

Remember the velociraptors in Jurassic Park? Maybe your dog is related?

I had a dog like this. I once came home to find her ON MY ROOF!
I also went out once and met her in the street she had unlocked two doors and jumped a wall! She was a rescue collie lurcher x, found as a stray. What flavour is yours?

That's so impressive, worrying, sure, but impressive.

I hope he is also a good guard dog...

He's a staffy X ? ( whippet/greyhound/very tall jrt. ...). He's a rubbish guard dog. Scared of everything, including other dogs. Would rather wrap his lead around my legs than protect me.

But.... result.... He can't open doors. Mwahahahahaa. Today he was foiled.

Oh god and I think Eric's a pest because he can open doors,Jumps and catches handle to pull it down whilst simultaneously kicking back legs. If he ever manages to do windows I'll be doomed as at least he can't turn keys....not yet anyway
