But Jack Russell is a type rather than a breed, so there's a fair bit of variety.

I see from his Wikipedia page - thanks for the link BestIsWest- that he's the dog in Midsomer Murders, I thought it was the same dog. He's very distinctive looking and does a brilliant sad face.

I have a friend who has a Parson Russell and she's a really character, a law unto herself. You just can't help being drawn in by her cheeky charm.
