Help needed in objecting to animals being sold on Facebook

I'm on a local buying/selling Facebook page and recently adverts for pets have come up.. Initially baby rabbits and now a puppy where supposedly the original buyers have pulled out last minute. I feel so uneasy about this as it smacks of people not really checking properly where the puppy is going to end up. I want to write to the admin team asking them not to let people advertise animals ... Can anyone help me? Any good articles around? Many thanks!

It is disgusting, isn't it :-( I tried to find eBay's policy on the selling of live animals. If this is correct, it looks like the selling of pets is not allowed, so you could report any listings you see that are in breach of the policy.

Thanks Lime. Ive also looked at a group campaigning against gum tree advertising animals. I'm really looking for some sort of link to an ethical breeding policy I suppose .. And ethical advertising
