Transporting my puppy in the car?

She came home on Sunday on my knee, but how do you all transport your dogs?

She seems a bit small to put in the boot, and I can just see her bouncing around the car otherwise. Encouraged by my 2.5yr old ds!

Ours has a car harness and sits on the back seat ( or the front if its just me and him) .He loves the car .

Mine go in one of these. It was expensive but totally worth it, I'm actually picking my next car based on being able to fit the next size up from my current one in!!

Puppies (aside from their very first journey home when they're held on DH's knee in the back) go straight into the crate. Initially DH will sit in the back where he can reach into the crate and keep and eye on them but they get used to it very quickly.

Wow, that is an amazing crate!! Certainly something to think about, I don't think it would go in our current car but we're planning on getting an estate in the next 6 months so it would work.

Maybe a harness would be a good idea for now, at least it would stop her bouncing around. Or getting thrown around.

Mine goes in the boot in my estate and is in a harness on back seat of OH hatchback. The hatchback makes her sick though so we try not to do it too often. She goes cross country in the estate regularly 3-5 hours (with pit stops) so I can only put it down to being on the seat. We are getting a half and half boot crate for holidays so we can still take luggage. After testing out a friends, Parents are supplying for Xmas... www.transk9.com/index.php/dog_cage/bmw_5_series_touring_F11_2011/ it's B23. They seem to do for a fair selection of big estates

My 7 month old goes in a crate in the boot.

In the cat carrier because it straps in and then a harness until he got bigger and then the boot.

Our 12 week old puppy travels in a crate on my back seat, secured in place with seat belt threaded through cable ties. He is still very chewy and I'm hoping he will outgrow the chewyness before he outgrows his crate but if not we'll just get a bigger crate.
