For various reasons, it's been a long time coming but we're picking up a beautiful 11 week old golden lab boy tomorrow morning. Think I'm prepared but anything I might have forgotten? It's been 9 years since our last dog died and think I might be out of practice!

Florin she is gorgeous!
We had lots of whining yesterday when we put our pup in the grate for meal times...kids were in tears and couldn't eat. Slept in the kitchen with him but he was still very upset and I was very determined to break him into his new life. He's better this morning and only after a little whining he's fallen asleep in his crate. It seems that he's already toilet trained, which is a bonus.
Won't eat his kibble, so we've been feeding him cooked lamb and duck leftovers and he seems much more interested in that, so today we start feeding him raw meat. Shock

Ours is sleeping in her crate but in our bedroom next to my side of the bed which I think settles her. Read a few places that it can help. I am tempted to get her raw food today as it sounds fantastic although she seems to eat anything! Which make are you going for. Lucky you with the toilet training! We have no accidents yet but no doubt it is only a matter of time!

I'm going to feed him chicken wings I think, maybe some offal and some eggs - no branded food, just the real thing which suits us because we don't eat processed food either. We're doing the crate thing downstairs because upstairs is out of bounds.

I would love to do it from scratch but worry I won't get the balance right. Thought I would try her on prepared raw food and if she likes it I will do more research and try and do it myself.
