Should I go to the vet for what I believe to be a sprain?

My 5 yr old cocker is suddenly not able to jump up onto the sofa or onto the car seat. She can jump down, but not up. She is eating and pooing normally, and is still trying to play football. She goes for sticks if I throw, but not as enthusiastically as normal.

She wouldn't go too far out in the lake today, when I threw a stick. She seemed to have lost confidence. She limps very occasionally for a minute or two but then walks normally.

We went to the seaside on Monday and I think perhaps she's sprained something playing and jumping?

Is it worth taking her to the vet or should I just wait and see for a day or so? I've looked and looked at her leg and paw and can't find any wound or sore or anything.

I'd be inclined to take her to the vet (but in the meantime rest her, lead walks only and stop her jumping up). Hope she'll be OK soon!

I'd rest for 2 days or so and if it's not improving then go to the vet.

Thanks both
She appears to be better today. She is now jumping up onto the sofa and chair, but hasn't quite mastered the car.

I'll leave it another day and see how she is tomorrow I think
