Help! Dog ate stock cube.

He's 22kg and he ate a knorr vegetable stock cube, complete with foiled paper. Do I need to take him to the vet?

It looks like that's 4 or 5 grams of salt.

I wouldn't bother mine have eaten loads of things like that over the years (2 opportunist Labradors) and it always just comes out of the other end! Obviously if he seems poorly take him straight away.

Pretty sure mine have had stock cubes with no ill effects

Don't panic. He might be a bit more thirsty that normal and the foil should pass through.

You might to give a slice of bread so it will cushion the foil though?

He's a hoover and anything that falls on the floor is gone in seconds. I hope he'll be ok.

Thank you. It's more papery stuff than Oxo wrapping so I think he'll be ok on that front. Foolish dog. I tried to pry his jaw open and he just locked it until he'd swallowed it.
