I have having to board ddog on short notice (my dad passed away this week) and my head is all over the place.

I have never boarded him before so he his going for home boarding rather than kennels in an estate with woodland. They walk the dogs through the woodland/in rivers twice a day so I hope it will be a nice wee holiday for him.

They have sent an email saying they recommend a tic collar due to the woodland/deer etc, they say I can get them in Tesco for £2. If I am getting one I'll go to the vets (in one hour) to pick a Seresto one up before they close.

Starting looking at reviews and they are very mixed with dogs being ill, fiting etc. Are they okay to use if I have dc, do they get the chemicals if they touch it patting the dog?

Will it be okay to buy one today and send off boarding first thing Monday morning? My head is mush and cant work it out.........

We use one. No problems at all & works like magic for ticks. No effects on anyone patting the dog either.

Sorry for your loss Flowers

Thank you Bertha. Bought it today at vets, £30 Shock, think they saw me coming but had to get quickly so paid it.

The tin actually says "keep out of reach if children" - how do you do that when its round the dogs neck! Vet said never been asked that before and couldn't answer, so need to assume ok otherwise they wouldn't sell for pets I think.

Will put on first thing tomorrow and hope he is ok with it.
