The top of my dog's nose has been scraped off

Not sure what's happened, but he came in from the garden this morning and the top of his nose, which is normally black, was all pink and was weeping a little.

It doesn't seem to be bothering him, but I'm wondering how to treat it, if at all.

What do you reckon?

We had something similar a couple of weeks ago, but a little further back on his nose, think he did it when chewing his bone.

dn's friend who is a 3rd year vet student said just leave it. If it looks irritated sudocrem is ok to use, if it gets worse take to vet.

2 weeks on its dried up and fine hair is starting to grow back.
