There was a thread on here yesterday, from someone wanting advice about their rescue puppy not wanting to eat from a bowl.
I was interested in the replies because recently my, otherwise seemingly perfectly well and happy dog, seems to have taken against her bowls, backing away as if scared when I put a bowl of food in front of her. The only way I could get food into her was to feed her by hand; not something I wanted to get her into the habit of, obviously.
Someone suggested the poster try using a plate.
I tried feeding my dog on a flat plate this evening and lo and behold, no problem. She went straight to the plate and ate everything.
It could just be coincidence that she happened to feel like eating by herself this evening, but I don't think it is because of the way she approached it: no nervousness at all.
So thank you for the suggestion to the other poster. I hope she/he found it as helpful.
I shall try this again tomorrow and am hopeful you've solved my dog's problem:)
