Dogs with car sickness

We are hoping to take our 11 week old puppy on holiday with us. Its about a 5 hour drive but 2 out of the 5 times he has been in the car he has been sick.
Any ideas. Are we being unkind to take him?

My dog is the same and has been since puppyhood. I use dog travel sickness tablets (don't know if suitable for pups though so you would need to check that). I also bought her a thunder coat which helped massively. She can now cope with 1/2 hour long journeys without the tablets but needs them for longer journeys.
