Should I be worried

Hello,

My little boy had his balls chopped off on Tuesday. He has been absolutely fine up until this afternoon, he has been what I can only describe as depressed, he is in his crate, or moping about, he was acting as if they are itching him earlier today but has left them alone since he's been down. I've just had a look and they look very red, but not bleeding or anything.

Should I rush him to the out of hrs vet (don't want to do this as my last pup died in their care, but will if I have to!), wait till the morning, or is this normal?

I'm paranoid as my last pup died at 9 months.

Are they hot or just red and sore looking?

I took him to my vet, they stayed open for me, they were swollen, so she's given him a larger lamp shade, anti inflammatory and antibiotics.
Poor baby...
