.......because she (Yorkie) attacks the other dog (JRT) whenever he has toys, is being made a fuss of, or just gets excited. She goes for his neck all fur flying as only a little feisty Yorkie can. It is quite frightening.

Dogs Trust have advised that things won't get better, so to return her tomrrow. She needs to go to a home where she is the only dog and with someone who will pander to her every whim.

I am very upset, but will not put the other lovely dog we got under any more strain as he is a little sweetie who is basically getting afraid to move.

Aw :( That sounds tough. Weren't these dogs living together before? I wonder why it's happening? Sorry for you, though.

So did the rescue let you have 2 dogs that weren't already an established friendly pair? If so I would have thought that'd be asking for trouble.

Doodleloomoo · 01/07/2014 20:00

Oh no! Did you get them both together? Sorry, must be tough :-(

LiberalLibertines · 01/07/2014 20:03

Awww what a shame it didn't work out. At least they know now that she must be homed as an only dog.

Poor little boy ,he will probably be glad to see the back of her . Don't worry too much I'm sure a yorkie will be snapped up really quickly.

They were not brought in together, but shared a kennel I think. I am not too happy that this has been allowed to happen, if you see what I mean. She will really make someone a lovely lap dog on her own.

D-Day tomorrow and then I can return the toys etc. to the other dog and he can start playing properly Smile

Awful for you to have to go through this, also your JRT could have been injured. The rescue should have made absolutely sure the dogs got on before rehoming them together.
